Like most social media, community and inbound marketing teams, we’re constantly on the move. This means it’s important for us to have mobile access to all of our most important tools.
The list of social applications for the modern marketer is nearly endless. We decided to highlight our 10 most used applications, in no particular order, that we we use while we’re on the go – and who are we kidding, we’re always on the go!

1. “Pages”- Manage multiple Facebook fan pages, groups and events.
Pages for Facebook is a very handy application used around the office here at Honeypot Marketing. It helps administrators connect with their audience and keep up to date with activity on multiple pages, all at once. It’s great to have on you when you have multiple client profiles to control and monitor. The ease of switching from profile to profile is within a couple clicks. It allows marketers to keep a close eye on their content and data even when they’re out of the office. This way you’ll never an important message or post from your fans.

2. “Hootsuite” – Manage multiple social profiles quick and effectively.
The Hootsuite app is a great way to send and receive messages, monitor conversations and track results – all from your phone! Manage networks, lists, schedule content and shortening links with Ow.ly are just some of the awesome features found in this app. The Hootsuite app compliments your web account and allows you to quickly import your accounts with a simple migration wizard to get you on your way!

3. “Vine” – The best six seconds you’ll ever shoot!
The Vine app is great tool for video marketers to shoot a quick six second video of some awesome material. Growing more and more popular everyday, Vine was made to create short- looping videos in a fun way to share with anyone of interest. What makes Vine so unique is how you can capture six seconds of non- consecutive video to create one montage. This allows marketers to capture up at least 6 different product or service features to combine into one video to share across their social media outlets.

4. “WordPress” – Blog on the go for your company.
Many of you may be familiar with the world’s most popular blog platform. The WordPress mobile application makes blogging on the go easy, accessible, and allows you to keep your blog updated right from your phone. Users can edit the blog content, add existing photos or take photos at the moment to place in their post. You can monitor all activity to the blog and respond to comments as soon as they come in.

5. “LinkedIn” – Manage your LinkedIn profile where ever you are to keep connected.
The LinkedIn app gives you a great tool to stay connected and up to date with your profile and connections. An awesome feature found with this app is being able to quickly sync your LinkedIn contacts into your phones address book. You can do almost everything as you can from a desktop with this app; connect with others, stay up to date with other networks, send message and view all invitations.

Why: “I get to keep up to date with all my connections, accept invites as they come in and easily sync LinkedIn contacts to my address book, which is a very handy option.”
6. “Mashable” – Keep up to date with new stories and trends in the industry.
The Mashable app provides the same purpose as the website, but more suitable for mobile devices. A great way to stay up to date with the latest news on technology, industry trends, social media, apps, etc. The layout is simple and clean allowing you to search and read any articles easily. When selecting a link within an open article, the external link will open in a new page staying within the app; this will allow you to quickly head back to the article once you are done with the material on the external link. The easy navigation makes it very user friendly for anyone to enjoy on the go.

7. “Dropbox” – Share your files with partners and clients.
The Dropbox app allows you to share, sync and store files online. The app lets you store photos, videos, and documents and access them anytime and anywhere from your mobile device or tablet. You can also create public folders and share your files with others – a great way to share important information with all your colleagues at once within a safe and secure place.

Why: “Being able to sync files from one device to another and access it at anytime makes a big difference when you’re always on the go. In or out of the office you can always access the documents needed at that time.”
8. “AnalyticsPro” – Access your Google Analytics no matter where you are.
The AnalyticsPro app allows you to access your Google Analytics data anytime, anywhere. You can check in when ever you need to and see how campaigns are doing, or how a certain post is engaging with your fans. There’s a lot of information displayed through this app and you don’t want to miss out on any important opportunities to convert. Watch on the go as your fans engage with your content – or if they seem to drop off, find out why and establish a plan to fix those small problems as soon as possible!

9. “Instagram” – Photos to share with all!
Literally take pictures of anything, slap on a filter and share it with friends. Instagram is an awesome free app and it has changed the game of photography. Even if you know absolutely nothing about taking photos, this app can make any picture look good. For a marketer, this is just another social outlet to get content to your fans; of course, in the form of pictures. This is a great way to connect with your fans directly through mobile. Sharing updates by taking pictures of new products, or sharing the inside look at company events; it all creates a following. You can also share links, mentions or hash tags with your photos and connect your Instagram profile to other social profiles to share through.

10. “Evernote” – Stay organized.
The Evernote app is a great way to stay organized on a daily basis across all devices you use. Evernote lets you take notes, photos, make to- do lists, and record voice note reminders. You can connect Evernote to other products/devices you use to make sure all your material is accessible.
